No use, no use,
They whispered shrill,
The voices mock me,
Haunt my will,
Laugh at towers
I build in the sky,
Remind me they won't
Last, so say goodbye.
What use is the building
If it will only be burned,
What use are the seasons,
Unless they are turned,
The in-between times
That one lonely day
That is the time
When the buildings may stay.
But to build on that day
Is an iffy thing,
For the wind comes in swiftly
But hope flies on wings.
No use, no use,
Am I just to float?
Reserve all my energy
For swimming the moats
Of all my castles
That float in the sky
Then crash to the ground
They will always die.
Who kills them?
You do. You watch them burn.
Your hand strikes flame
And your eyes don't return.
But they are my dreams!
Are they sure they are yours?
Or is your whole life
Mysteries to unfold.
Shall I never dream then?
No, you have no excuse.
Just know when you do
It's no use, no use.
